Position Description
Performs routine administrative support or technical program assistance work. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Maintains files and documentation, purchase supplies and equipment, coordinate special projects and meetings, maintain work schedules, sick and vacation records and prepare financial management reports.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Supports the Service Plus Philosophy of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental safety policies and procedures.
  • Plans and distributes work to subordinate employees.
  • Purchases supplies and equipment
  • Process invoices for payment
  • Coordinates special projects and meetings
  • Prepares financial management reports, budgets
  • Maintains files and documentation
  • Initiates and responds to correspondence not requiring supervisor’s attention
  • Coordinates and disseminates information
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, comparing dollar amounts, and prepare invoices for payments.
  • Maintain purchasing files for pending and paid orders
  • Prepare travel arrangements for RMF staff, and prepare vouchers
  • Prepare vouchers for reimbursement for RMF Faculty/Staff.





Occasional Duties
Other duties as assigned by supervisor



Required Qualifications
Completion of high school or the equivalent. Five years office experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Typing, computer word processing and spreadsheets

Pay Statement
