Job Summary:
Work as a member of the System Integration Team to develop systems of Applied & Unitary products, i.e. air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers at Ingersoll Rand Engineering & Technology Center.  Focus on delivering validated system designs for assigned projects.
Job Responsibility
  1. Deliver validated designs for Air conditioning and Refrigeration systems through simulation, testing and technical data generation.
  2. Develop major components for specific projects in air conditioning and heat pumps
  3. Develop test plan for parts & prototypes testing and qualification
  4. Provide technical data for catalogues and engineering specifications
  5. Continue analysis of competitors' data
  6. Continue optimization of system performance and cost
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  1. BS or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis in Thermodynamics, heat Transfer and refrigeration.
  2. 3 years HVAC&R related engineering experience
  3. Centrifugal chiller design experience a plus
  4. New product development experience a plus
Key Competencies:
  1. Knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
  2. Good conflict management skills
  3. Understanding of Centrifugal chiller or residential HVAC systems, application and UL & GB standards preferred
  4. Problem assessment and problem solving skills
  5. Project planning and organizational skills
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
  7. Experience with pc-based Windows programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) required
  8. Six sigma training/certification preferred
  9. 10% travel required
