Job Description

Canadian Solar U.S. Module Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer for its Mesquite, TX office.

Job Duties: Implement quality policy and meet quality objectives within a manufacturing environment. Develop and maintain control plans and lead new or current products. Lead cross-functional teams to investigate quality issues and drive solutions. Lead and supervise Quality Control activities. Assume responsibility for technical responses to customers on quality issues; lead investigations and drive corrective actions. Liaise with suppliers during visits and conduct process or system audits. Track and resolve open issues pertaining to new product launches and develop control documents and other customer or supplier quality documentation. Provide written technical responses to customers on quality issues. Visit supplier sites, working to continually work on improvement plans. Lead and supervise material quality, IQC, MRB, and new material activities. Lead internal audits, provide training, and coach Junior Quality Technicians.


Minimum Requirements: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, plus one (1) year of experience as a Customer Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, or a related occupation, including one (1) year of experience with each of the following:


  • Power BI, Data Visualization, and Customer Satisfaction analysis
  • Quality analysis, risk analysis, and 8D reporting
  • Preparing internal audits and monitoring resolutions for audits
  • Providing training to inspectors and Quality Technicians
  • Supplier behavior tracking and negotiation
