Lead On Site Specialist (multiple positions)
Lead On Site Specialist (multiple positions) sought by GE Energy Power Conversion USA Inc. (a General Electric company) in Houston, TX to perform wide range eng tasks & ensure proper installation, service & commissioning of products & services. Provide tech support for installation & commissioning of projects & provide maintenance, breakdown emergency support & remote troubleshooting. Perform troubleshooting activities at site locations to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, & implement corrective actions. Develop requisite documentation to execute work such as commissioning procedures, maintenance procedures daily logs etc. Perform installation & commissioning activities at customer site locations. Bachelor's deg, or foreign deg equiv, in Electrical Eng, Electronic Eng or rel field, & 5 yrs progressively responsible post-Bachelor's deg rel industry exp req'd. Position requires: 5 yrs Field Service & Commissioning exp w/Power Conversion product drives (MV3000, MV6000, MV7000, LV8000, SD7000, Exciter ESP1 & Quad) & associated electrical equipment such as Motor Control Center, Switchgear, Cooling system, transformers, Motors & filters; 5 yrs exp w/Rectifier & Inverter operation, both practical & theoretical; 5 yrs exp w/motor vector control principles for various app such as Metals, Gas compressor, Energy transfer & Marine propulsion app; 3 yrs exp w/ logic programming & PLC configuration; & 5 yrs exp w/installation & commissioning tasks & services. Up to 85% travel req'd to various customer sites w/in US & in int'l locations such as Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Europe & Asia for installation & commissioning activities, maintenance, troubleshooting & emergency onsite support.
