Mechanical Engineer

Canadian Solar U.S. Module Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Mesquite, TX office.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Conduct management of machinery and systems used in photovoltaic module manufacturing. Plan and conceptualize preventive maintenance programs for machinery specific to the photovoltaic industry and establish maintenance procedures. Test and validate new equipment, and repair any design errors. Collaborate with multiple engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to complete the installation of new equipment. Effectively manage project timelines, ensuring that all aspects of the project stay within the allocated budget and resource constraints. Provide necessary operational training to new staff. Chinese language skills are required.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field and at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Experience must include one (1) year with each of the following:

1. Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for precise modeling and machining.

2. Skill in conducting failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) to identify potential issues and improve the reliability of mechanical systems.

3. Knowledge of integrating mechanical components with electronics and control systems, enhancing the automation and efficiency of machinery.

4. Having industrial experience in operating and programming industrial robots such as ABB, KUKA, and others.

5. Choosing and configuring mechanical equipment appropriately for improving production efficiency, product quality, and reliability.

6. Bilingual communication with equipment suppliers for quick issue resolution during installation and debugging.
