Job Overview

We are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to support our Longview, Texas operations.  Position is eligible for relocation.  Excellent benefit package, 401K with employer sponsored contributions and matching, bonus program, and competitive pay.

Responsibilities
  • Work safe and be an advocate for safety
  • Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow
  • Develops step-by-step methods for making the products
  • Designs the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
  • Communicates effectively with the management, plant personnel, and individuals outside the company.
  • Identify and reports any cost improvements
  • Completes special projects as assigned
  • Determines product specifications
  • Assists in the design of jigs, tools, fixtures, and special equipment for CNC applications
  • Arranges for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates them according to specifications and quality standards
  • Estimates production times and determines how many workers are required to meet production schedules
  • Devises racks, bins or other containers that protect parts and insure quality
  • Assigns part numbers for Longview
  • Updates raw material stock lists
Education / Qualification

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (four years of study beyond high school) or a Master’s Degree (five to six years of study beyond high school)
  • Minimum one to three years experience, prefer two years.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Direct/ plan an entire activity or the activities of other work orders
  • Must be a self-starter, Able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • See details in objects or drawings
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Work well with many kinds of people
  • Work with numbers, do careful research, and organize findings
  • Present your ideas effectively in speech and writing
  • Perform a variety of duties that may change often
