Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shop Hand assists the Yard Technician with maintenance and technical support for Arrows Up systems at the Arrows Up in-basin yard; safely performs duties following company policies and procedures.

The Shop Hand demonstrates and adheres to the Company values of safety, honesty, ownership, respect and teamwork to ensure successful partnership with customers and employees that result in Arrows Up continued success

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with general maintenance and inspection of Arrows Up System including bins, risers, forklifts, company vehicles, and rig mats
  • Load and unload staged equipment at in-basin yard
  • Ensure safe operations at the Arrows Up in-basin yard
  • Assist in movement of forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count incoming and outgoing materials
  • Operate shop equipment to include front-end loader, forklift, and any hand tools or power tools required for maintenance and repair of Arrows Up systems
  • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations and riser system. Efficiently stack and store the material in the appropriate areas
  • Assist with inspection of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are accurate and free of damage; report quality variances
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped; perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer standards and company objectives

 

OTHER DUTIES

  • Wear Protective Personal Equipment as outlined by OSHA and Company policies
  • Work safely to avoid accidents and injuries
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • 18 years of age
  • Professional integrity and accountability
  • Work in fast-paced collaborative environment
  • 1-2 years’ experience with mechanical repairs
  • 1-2 years’ experience with shop equipment operation: forklift, front end loader
  • Write legibly to complete routine reports, and required testing
  • Effectively communicate with all level of employees and business associates in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Read and adhere to OSHA standards
  • Demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills resulting in effective resolution
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional integrity and accountability
  • Work in fast-paced collaborative environment

 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Valid Driver’s License

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Previous experience in Rail Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics, Manufacturing and/or Oil and Gas industries

 

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Welding or Fabrication

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather: snow, rain, heat, and sub-freezing temps

 

TRAVEL

  • Daily travel as needed during scheduled work hours
