Specific Job Responsibilities:

The Y-12 National Security Complex is currently recruiting for summer 2020 internship opportunities in Computer Science and Information Technology. Work scope may include Web Application Development; working in web-based software programming languages and frameworks (C#, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, etc.) along various IT disciplines, including application requirements & design, testing, and customer support of technical solutions. It could also include SAP ABAPWeb Application Development working along various IT disciplines, including application requirements & design, testing, and Customer support of technical solutions. They may also establish and provide technical insight and expertise for enterprise-scale IT service design, delivery, and operations of multisite ERP and other enterprise systems. The intern will be required to work closely with functional and business team members, enterprise architects, system engineers, cyber security and application developers to design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications based on business requirements. Responsible for ensuring new and enhanced systems have appropriate interfaces, adhere to company policies, and are Compatible with new or existing production systems. The Internship Program is a 10-12 week program that offers challenging assignments and projects and career development workshops to enhance your professional growth. You will also earn a competitive salary based on your discipline and academic class status.

The dates of the internship is June 1 - August 6, 2020.

Specific Job Knowledge & Training Required:

To be considered for the Information Solutions and Services Internship position, applicants must be working toward or have completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cybersecurity. Applicants must have at a minimum completed their sophomore year in college, have an overall GPA (grade point average) of 2.8 or above, and be a United States Citizen.
