Position Description
Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions
*Manages PA administrative staff.
*Develop goals, policies and procedures for the PA program administrative practices unique to the Midland PA campus.
*Develop procedures and data management related to accreditation reporting.
*Principal administrative support to Program Director/Regional Dean.
*Responsible for time approval in Time Clock Plus system.
*Serves as a liaison within the school, institution, and community.
*Manages program budget through regular reports to program director. Approves expenses appropriately prior to encumbrance.  Prepares budget reports for administration.
*Monitor state and local accounts for PA program.
*Reallocates and prepares procurement credit card expense reports.
*Prepare purchase orders and direct payments according to TTUHSC and state policies and procedures.
*Responsible for departmental compliance reporting including inventories.
*Serve as administrative resources for faculty and staff with general and/or complex administrative matters.
*Perform administrative duties in the management and coordination of the PA Program.
*Records and archives reports, meeting minutes, committee minutes, and other administrative/accreditation documents.
*Processes all paperwork for hiring recurrent, overload, or honorarium faculty, including maintenance of Digital Measures. Serves as a resource for compliance with human resources required trainings.
*Manage confidential faculty and student files.
*Monitors facilities to efficiently report problems and needs. Maintains staff schedule related to program and building hours. Maintains records for keys and badge readers.
*Collaborates with Clerkship Coordinator to order and schedule exams for clinical students’ - PAEA.
*Oversees the planning and coordination of new student orientation, white coat ceremony,and other program special events.
*Serves as resource for administrative matters related to student society activities and student travel.
*Assist in coordination of meetings and events for the institution, school, department, and program as needed.
*Responsible for coordination of admissions interviews, student registration, orientation, and graduation activities.
*Improve and maintain professional knowledge by attending SHP staff development activities and workshops offered by human resources.
*Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus three years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.
